About me

I grew up in a small market town in the midlands of the UK. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a marine biologist and was obsessed with the outdoors.

In 2009, I went on an expedition to Ecuador with my secondary school. This was my first real backpacking experience and sparked my love for travelling.

Since then, I’ve spent 6 summers working as a marine scientist on a tiny Island off the coast of Honduras, spent 3 months travelling solo around Southeast Asia, completed a DIY campervan conversion (with my partner), and toured Japan by rail.

Nowadays, I live in Hampshire with my partner in a 1950s doer-upper. We’ve been fully DIY renovating our house for 2.5 years now, but we still find time for an adventure or 2!
